Thought Catalog's 10 Best Fictional Boyfriends
This is a joke, right? I love a lot of these characters and stories, but most of these men would make awful companions. Tom is emotionally underdeveloped and inattentive. Noah, Beast/Prince Adam, and Darcy all easily fall under the umbrella of emotionally abusive and manipulative. Josh’s romantic intentions are almost certainly illegal. Aladdin’s entire relationship is based on dishonesty. Don’t know about Breaking Bad or Sex & The City, but Ron Weasley is the only decent option I see here. Where is Cory Matthews? How about Edward Ferrars? Maybe Ben Wyatt. LLOYD FRIGGIN DOBLER.
They should call this publication Absent-minded Catalog.
RON WEASLEY WINS.
Also, you’re totally right, Sophie. Just being kind of adorable doesn’t quite make a best boyfriend.
EDIT: because THEN I ACTUALLY READ THE WORDS OF THE ARTICLE AND MY GOD.
EDIT AGAIN, YOU GUYS: “What is actually important is that getting to look at Brendan Fraser topless throughout the entirety of this movie is God’s apology for HPV. It’s cool, God, we forgive you. We’ll go get our vaccines.”
Direct quote.

One of the main points of the (500) Days of Summer is that Tom is a terrible boyfriend and friend to Summer! Did they even watch the movie?

I totally agree! The fact that Tom is at the top while Lloyd Dobler isn’t even on the list is ridiculous. Ron is...
